It is found in the table that 2.84% households live in jhupri, 92.79% households live in kacha houses, 3.58% households live in semi-paka houses and the remaining 0.79% households live in paka houses in the Upazila. Housing condition of urban area is better. In urban area 8.46% households live in paka houses, 19.32% households live in semi-paka houses, 71.90% households live in kacha houses and 0.32% live in jhupri as against 0.50% in paka, 3.00% in semi-paka, 93.57% in kacha and the remaining 2.93% live in jhupri respectively in rural areas.
Source of Drinking Water: In Boda upazila 81.05% dwelling households drink tube-well water, 0.23% drink tap water, 0.61% drink deep tube-well water, 0.48% drink pond water and the remaining 17.62% dwelling households drink water from other sources.
Sanitation: In the upazila, 28.38% of dwelling households have sanitary latrines with 27.08% in rural area and 64.77% in urban area. Housing condition of urban area is better. In urban area 4.93% households live in paka houses, 20.86% households live in semi-paka houses, 68.79% households live in kacha houses and 5.42% households live in jhupri as against 0.26% households in paka, 2.29% in semi-paka, 87.68% in kacha and the remaining 9.77% households live in jhupri houses respectively in rural area.

Housing condition of Panchagarh Sadar is predominantly kacha. It is found in the table that 19.63% households live in jhupri, 72.24% households live in kacha houses, 6.57% households live in semi-paka houses and the remaining 1.56% households live in paka houses in Panchagarh Sadar. Housing condition of urban area is better. In urban area 6.77% households live in paka houses, 25.87% households live in semi-paka houses, 66.50% households live in kacha houses and 0.86% live in jhupri as against 0.51% in paka, 2.68% in semi-paka, 73.40% in kacha and the remaining 23.41% live in jhupri respectively in rural area.
Source of Drinking Water: In Panchagarh Sadar 72.76% dwelling households drink tube-well water, 0.96% drink tap water, 1.67% drink deep tube-well water, 1.09% drink pond water and the remaining 23.52% dwelling households drink water from other sources.
Sanitation: In the upazila, 29.00% of dwelling households have sanitary latrines with 19.69% in rural area and 75.97% in urban area. A total of 27.07% of the households have non-sanitary latrines with 29.97% in rural area and 12.43% in urban area. In this upazila, 43.93% of the households have no toilet facility.
Access to Electricity: All the ten unions of the upazila have been brought under Rural Electrification Program. However, a total of 11.92% of the dwelling households reported to have electricity connection in the entire upazila.
Ownership of Agricultural Land: In Panchagarh Sadar, 53.43% of the dwelling households own and 46.57% do not own agricultural land. Percentage of ownership of agricultural land is 39.47% in urban area as against 56.20% in rural area.
Urbanization: Panchagarh paurashava is the only urban area of the Panchagarh Sadar. It consists of 9 wards, 32 mahallahs and only one adjoining mauza as other urban area which altogether occupies an area of 20.72 sq. km. The main features are shown below:
