A housewife committed suicide by hanging with a fan at Paralbari village in Debiganj upazila of the district on Wednesday night. The victim was identified as Sovarani (25), wife of Sree Mohinee Mohon Roy of the village. Local people and police said that Sovarani had been suffering from abdominal pain for a long time. It was the main reason behind the suicide. On getting information the Debiganj thana police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Panchagarh Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, An unnatural death, (UD) case was filed with Debiganj thana in this connection.
